George Carlin

George Carlin

“Jim from Tuscaloosa”, the infamous “sidekick” of Paul Finebaum, apparently made his final call yesterday – at least for a while.

“Jim”, a regular caller to The Paul Finebaum Show, let one of George Carlin’s Seven Dirty Words slip and the ESPN censors missed it.

He, of course,  denied the allegation via Twitter, his forum of choice – second only to radio.

So, did he or didn’t he? Decide for yourself.

Did you hear it?

“I can’t BELIEVE I have to go through this SHIT to give you a compliment!” – Jim From Tuscaloosa

This wasn’t Jim’s first offense. According to Finebaum, “He was on double secret probation after what he said last week.”

Finebaum was joined by SEC Network Host, Dari Nowkhah, on today’s show as Finebaum and producer, John Hayes, discussed the “indefinite probation” with “Darriel from Columbus”.

“Jim”, well known for his Narcissistic tendencies, immediately contacted some of his closest personal friends (whom he has never met):

He even went so far as to invoke the name of the only caller ever be permanently banned from the Finebaum show, “Bobby from Homewood”.

“Jim” took the opportunity to announce that he has moved on from The Finebaum Show – again.

“Jim”, who quits the show almost as often as he calls it, bid a fond farewell:

For those of you who lament his passing on the show, have no fear.  “Jim from Tuscaloosa” is like a boomerang. You can toss him aside but he always comes back – whether or not you really want him.

These were some of the Twitter responses:

Herschel Walker

Herschel Walker

By Finebaum Fan.

Herschel Walker  joined Paul Finebaum today and talked about some of college football’s hottest topics.

The 1982 Heisman Trophy winner gave very candid answers to questions about  suspended University of Georgia running back, Todd Gurley, and not yet to be suspended Florida State quarterback, Jameis Winston.

Like Gurley, Walker played running back for the University of Georgia, where he was a three-time All-American and winner of the Maxwell Award.

“I know Jameis Winston…  is a young man who needs some guidance.  He’s a young man who needs someone to sit down and talk to him.” – Herschel Walker

We’ll pick up the conversation where it began after an aborted attempt to speak with Finebaum due to a bad phone connection:

Lane Kiffin (l) and Daniel Tosh (r)

Lane Kiffin (l) and Daniel Tosh (r)

By FinebaumFan.

It is said that everyone has a doppelganger – someone who looks exactly the same as another person.

In the case of University of Alabama offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin,  Daniel Tosh fits the bill.

Tosh is a comedian, actor, and writer who hosts the Comedy Central television show – “Tosh.0.

This week, Tosh took advantage of his striking resemblance to Kiffin to reveal his impression of a Lane Kiffin “call in” television show.

Along with his stunning “wife”, played by UFC ring girl Chrissy Blair, “Kiffin” fielded calls from fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Auburn Tigers, the USC Trojans, and the Tennessee Volunteers.

Watch as “Lane” takes calls from these unhappy fans on “Kiffin’s Krimson Korner”.

Nick Saban At Kent State

Nick Saban At Kent State

By Finebaum Fan.

In his weekly appearance on “Hey Coach”, Alabama Coach Nick Saban revealed that he had experienced the same injury that Alabama running back, Kenyan Drake, sustained in the October 4th game against The University of Mississippi.

Drake suffered a horrible leg injury in the second quarter against Ole Miss. During a tangled pileup, his left ankle twisted violently and he shouted so loudly that his voice was audible on CBS’ broadcast.

Saban played defensive back for the Kent State University football team under coach Don James.

Said Saban, “When I was a player in college, I got the SAME injury as he (Kenyan Drake) had…”

Here’s the audio with an update on Drake’s condition:
